This project tasked me with creating 2 distinct hot sauce labels for different audiences of my own choice.

Guava Lava
A sauce for the comic enthusiast, made with Guava for a sweet introduction before the real spice kicks in, like turning the page to a devastating twist. The label utilizes type and visual language akin to that of pulp comic book covers, with a bright color palette and surging shapes that give it motion.

hot.
For the person who just wants heat, no strings attached. It doesn’t need to tell you the reactants, but will definitely warn you of the reaction itself with its branding. The label uses bold red to bring the viewer’s attention to the purpose: hot. It includes the IPA phonetic pronunciation to make sure you are aware of the danger. There are also warning signs behind the flash.

Typefaces used:
CC Monster Mash, Timonium.
Mic 32 New / New Rounded.
